The RTA's annual grants program provides one-off grants of up to $5,000 for not-for-profit organisations, to develop and deliver community based projects which promote awareness and understanding of Queensland's tenancy laws.

The grants target:

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants, and residents
• Tenants and residents from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
• Tenants and residents with a disability
• Caravan park tenants
• Residents living in rooming accommodation such as boarding houses, supported accommodation, and other rooming style accommodation covered under the Act.

Successful applicants of the 2011-12 grants were announced in December. 

The 2012-13 grants program will be launched in the first half of 2012. Further details about funding guidelines and application forms will be available soon.
