Part payment of rental bond Form R7
The Part-payment of rental bond (Form R7) is used to lodge instalments of rental bonds with the RTA. This may occur when the resident/s are paying the bond to the provider/manager in instalments or when the rent increases and there is an increase in the resident's rental bond. The first instalment is to be lodged using a Rental bond lodgement (Form R2).
This form is completed by residents and providers/managers.
Part-payments
Providers/managers can hold instalments of rental bonds until all instalment payments are made before lodging the bond with the RTA. The total bond must be lodged with the RTA within 10 days of the last instalment.
If the full amount of the rental bond has not been received within 3 months of the first payment, the provider/manager must lodge any bond money received with the RTA, and lodge any subsequent instalment payments with the RTA within 10 days.
If the rooming accommodation agreement ends before all instalment payments have been received, the provider/manager must still lodge the bond with the RTA within 10 days of the agreement ending.
