The Administrative Access Scheme allows our clients and members of the public to access certain information held by the RTA without having to apply through a formal Information Privacy or Right to Information application process.
There are no fees or charges associated with making a request for information under the RTA's Administrative Access Scheme however depending on the volume of information requested, the RTA may impose a fee to reproduce or provide access to the information.
There is no ability to seek a review of an access decision made under this scheme however applicants that are dissatisfied with such decisions may complain through the RTA's Complaint Process.
To access information through the RTA's Administrative Access Scheme you will need to:
This scheme may be used to access the following information:
• Certain types of non-personal information.
• Allows an individual access to their own personal information (personal information is defined in the Information Privacy Act 2009) but not the personal information of another individual unless consent has been provided or it is authorised under law.
• Where a document contains the personal information of more than one person, such as most RTA forms, the information will only be accessible through administrative access when all parties have given prior written consent.
