Corporate Governance Framework

The RTA is a Queensland statutory body governed by a Board of Directors with knowledge and experience relevant to the Queensland residential rental sector. The Chairperson and six directors are appointed by the Governor-in-Council for three-year terms. The RTA is part of the portfolio of the Minister for Community Services and Housing and Minister for Women the Hon. Karen Struthers MP.

The RTA is committed to applying good governance principles and monitors its output performance through an extensive range of benchmarks and targets. Consistent with the high level performance indicators outlined in this strategic plan, specific performance targets are set as part of the annual business planning and budgeting process. The RTA's operations, performance and compliance is reported in detail through the Annual Report.
