Lodging a rental bond

Rental bonds can be lodged:

by posting a cheque or money order and the bond lodgement form to the RTA
in person by taking money and the form to any approved Australia Post outlet in Queensland.

The RTA will send both the tenant and the lessor/agent an official receipt when the bond has been received.

The receipt contains the rental bond number, which must be quoted when any enquiries about the bond are being made.
