Tenancy Info

In Queensland, people who rent housing are covered by the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 or the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002.

The Residential Tenancies Act applies to rented flats, houses, moveable dwellings and houseboats.  The Residential Tenancies Act covers all types of rental housing, including private rental, public housing and community-managed rental accommodation.
