New approved reasons for tenants to end a lease during the COVID-19 emergency period include: if the tenant believes they can no longer safely continue to occupy the rental property because they are experiencing domestic and family violence within the first seven days of moving into the rental property, the tenant finds the property is not in good repair Tenant gives notice of intention to leave Tenants may need to end their agreement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
