
The RTA’s latest annual report shows how we supported Queensland’s renting community by improving their customer experience, helping customers navigate rental law changes and launching a new stakeholder engagement approach.
The RTA Annual Report 2024–25 is now available and documents the RTA’s achievements and performance over the last financial year against the RTA Strategic Plan 2022–26.

- answered 341,728 calls with an average customer satisfaction rating of 83%
- conciliated 23,408 disputes and resolved 77.5% where both parties agree to participate
- finalised 600 investigations into alleged non-compliance
- 79.9% of all bond and tenancy forms were submitted via digital channels
- provided same-day processing of bond refunds at 0.7 days on average
- returned $4.7 million outstanding rental bonds to 4,201 customers
- reached over 5,000 people through 134 community education and stakeholder engagement activities
- published our new stakeholder engagement framework and stood up new working groups
- launched RTA Instagram as another channel to reach and educate Queenslanders on rental law rights and responsibilities.

- $600 was the median rent, a 3.4% increase since 2023–24
- 631,805 bonds were held by the RTA for rental properties
- 49.6% of tenancies were houses, 35.1% were flats/units and 10% were townhouses
- 87.8% of rental properties were managed by real estate agents and property managers/providers
- 21.8 months was the median length of a tenancy for a house.
