Understanding water charges webinars

The rules and ways to handle and pass on water charges in relation to a rental property can be complex for tenants and property owners alike.

On Tuesday 18 May 2021, the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) presented at two Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) webinars in collaboration with Queensland Shelter (Q Shelter) and Tenants Queensland (TQ).

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of an experienced expert panel who will discuss your rights and responsibilities around water charges under Queensland rental laws.

Both sessions explored common situations and challenges faced by tenants and owners/housing providers, with experts sharing their insights as to how you can prevent and manage issues. Seqwater also provided practical tips on reducing water costs. Attendees were able to put questions to the expert panel when the presentation concluded.

If you missed out on registering for these webinars, you can now access the recordings below.
