If you are wanting to simply update your personal or banking details, the RTA Update Your Details Web Service allows you to update these quickly, securely and conveniently, or by submitting an Update your details form. You can also contact the RTA for assistance.
Under the RTI Act, you can formally apply to amend documents held by the RTA containing personal information where you believe relevant information is inaccurate, misleading, out of date or incomplete.
You should contact the RTA before making a formal application for an amendment of personal information, as it may be possible to correct the information without the need for a formal application.
There are no fees or charges for the application, however you will be required to provide evidence of your identity, and describe the documents (letter, memo, file, form etc.) and information you wish to amend. If you are unable to specify or describe the documents or information that you believe requires amendments, you may need to request this information under a formal Privacy Act application or informal Administrative Access Scheme (where possible).
