Accessing information
The RTA’s Administrative Access Scheme allows members of the public access to certain types of information held by the RTA without having to apply through the formal RTI Act or the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) application processes. Where possible, the RTA will release information under this scheme.
Options to access information include:
- general published information (e.g. annual report, strategic plan)
- RTA's administrative access scheme (usually used to gain access to your own personal details)
- Right to Information or Information Privacy applications
- amend or update personal information
- disclosure log for requested information

Amending personal information
The Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) allows individuals to apply to amend their personal information if the information is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading.
Individuals should contact the RTA before making a formal application for an amendment of personal information, as the RTA may be prepared to correct the information without the need of a formal application.
To submit a formal application for amendment of personal information you should complete the Information Privacy Personal Information Amendment Application (PDF 129KB).
