RTA transformation

The Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) is on an exciting transformation journey—building on our strong foundations by developing new capabilities and extending the value we provide for our people and to our customers.

We are implementing legislative reform, improving our customers’ experience, implementing new and enhanced tools and services, embracing data and technology, and building an empowered, high-performing workforce.

This includes:

  • embracing new technology - enhancing core RTA systems by adopting contemporary and sustainable solutions
  • rental law changes and reforms - supporting the Queensland Government’s rental law changes and proposed rental reforms under the Homes for Queenslanders plan
  • enhancing our digital environment - introducing and embedding new foundational technologies to improve business operations and increase productivity
  • stakeholder engagement - establishing a robust stakeholder engagement framework to ensure RTA’s ongoing positive influence and impact on the rental sector
  • strengthening compliance and enforcement - continuing our commitment to upholding and enforcing compliance within the Queensland rental sector
  • capability uplift - empowering our people to continue to deliver on the RTA’s vision, purpose and intent.
