PDF upload facility changes

RTA Web Services replaced the PDF upload facility for bond refunds on 1 February 2020

The PDF upload facility has been replaced by the RTA’s Bond Refund Web Service.

The Bond Refund Web Service was introduced in December 2019 as part of a suite of digital services, which will make end of tenancy transactions faster, easier and more convenient for customers.

The new digital service for bond refunds will ensure the RTA can process bond refunds quickly and efficiently, and will eliminate the delays and additional administrative work caused when paper forms are submitted with incomplete or illegible information.

Replacing the PDF upload with the Bond Refund Web Service will also help reduce the sector’s environmental footprint, by moving towards a paperless way of working.

While the RTA encourages all customers to use the Bond Refund Web Service customers will still be able to download the paper bond refund forms from our website, or order single printed copies via the website or by calling our Contact Centre on 1300 366 311. Paper forms can be posted to the RTA.

Important: If you are unable to use RTA Web Services or post and you need urgent help to submit a bond refund form, please contact us and we'll help you.

A wide range of educational materials and information can also be found in our forms, publications and resources library. You can view our fact sheets and videos on various topics, catch-up on our monthly webinars, or download the Pocket guide for tenants in seven different languages.

The RTA also recommends property managers/owners discuss with their tenants about sending and receiving copies of required documentation and keeping records electronically. Find out more about the five steps you can follow in preparation for a paperless RTA.
